Ambassador Agreement

Wigan Borough Business Awards – Ambassador Agreement

  1. Purpose of the Ambassador Role

As an Ambassador for Wigan Borough Business Awards (WBBA), you play an important part in championing the businesses, organisations, and people who drive our borough forward.
Your role helps us amplify the awards, strengthen community connections, and raise the profile of excellence across Wigan Borough.

This agreement ensures we are all aligned, protected, and working together positively.

  1. What we ask from our Ambassadors

In taking on this role, you agree to:

  • Represent WBBA with positivity and professionalism

You are seen as an advocate for the awards, so we ask you to uphold the values of respect, fairness, inclusivity, and celebration.

  • Support our key moments throughout the year

Such as:

  • Sharing WBBA updates or campaigns on social media
  • Attending occasional networking or promotional activities when possible
  • Encouraging entries and recognitions within your networks
  • Being present (where feasible) at the awards night

(No fixed commitments – we understand you’re busy.)

  • Use messaging that aligns with WBBA values

We’ll provide templates and guidance to make this easy.

     3. What you can expect from us

As a WBBA Ambassador, you will receive:

  • A dedicated profile on the WBBA website

Including your photo, bio, company logo, and link to your business page.

  • PR & digital visibility

We will feature ambassadors across our campaigns, newsletters, and social content.

  • Early access to event news and opportunities

Ambassadors are often the first to hear what’s coming next.

  • Priority invitations to WBBA networking events

With opportunities to connect with leaders across the borough.

  • A valued role in shaping the future of the awards

Your feedback helps us continuously improve WBBA.

  1. Social Media & Public Representation

To protect the integrity of the awards, we ask that ambassadors:

  • Share information that is accurate and provided by WBBA
  • Avoid posting anything that could be interpreted as offensive, discriminatory, or political when referencing WBBA
  • Do not publicly criticise WBBA partners, sponsors, nominees, or other organisations
  • Use WBBA branding only in approved formats (we will supply these)

  1. Confidentiality

Occasionally, you may receive early or sensitive information (e.g., campaign details, event plans, internal timelines). We ask that you keep these details confidential until they are publicly released.

  1. Conflicts of Interest

If something arises that could be seen as a conflict, simply let us know. We’ll take a friendly, practical approach to resolving it.

     7. Duration & Ending the Agreement

This agreement runs for one awards cycle (January – November).
Either you or WBBA can step away at any time, we simply ask for a quick heads-up so we can update the website and materials and request that this is communicated to the WBBA by sending an email to info@wiganboroughbusinessawards.co.uk
