Championing Local Success: Westwood Motor Group Returns to Sponsor Micro Business of the Year
We’re delighted to welcome Westwood Motor Group back as a returning sponsor for the Wigan Borough Business Awards 2025, this year proudly supporting the Micro Business of the Year category.
As one of the UK’s leading independent vehicle providers, Westwood Motor Group is a name synonymous with service, flexibility, and local pride. With a strong base here in Wigan, they serve customers across the Northwest and beyond with car and van rental, sales, contract hire and business vehicle solutions.
From their sponsorship of Wigan Athletic F.C and Wigan Warriors, to their commitment to competitive pricing and outstanding customer service, Westwood understands the value of supporting local – and that includes backing the businesses just starting to make their mark.
The Micro Business of the Year award is all about recognising the incredible impact smaller enterprises have across our borough driving innovation, creating jobs, and bringing passion and purpose to everything they do. With their flexible approach and community roots, Westwood Motor Group is the perfect partner to help celebrate these achievements.
“At Westwood, we’re once again delighted and proud to be part of the Wigan Borough Business Awards and to join other leading local businesses in celebrating the successes and achievements of Wigan enterprises. From the smallest startup to the largest corporate challenger, our Northern Town blazes a trail for others to follow, all through the hard work of local businesses. Together, the business community are leading the way, from Wigan to the World and it’s an honour to be part of these awards which celebrate that success!” Chris Melling, Managing Director, Westwood Motor Group
