The Wigan Borough Business Awards 2024 was not only a celebration of local business excellence, but also a night dedicated to giving back to the community. Thanks to the generosity of our incredible guests and the support of our sponsor, UK TOTE GROUP, we were able to raise a remarkable £3,535 for Wigan & Leigh Hospice.
As part of the evening’s entertainment, a surprise charity draw was held, with guests encouraged to bring a minimum donation of £10. The excitement in the room was palpable as representatives from UK TOTE GROUP took to the stage to pull one lucky envelope from a box filled with generous donations and nominations. When the name of Wigan & Leigh Hospice was announced, the room erupted in applause, knowing the funds would go towards supporting the vital work they do in our local community.
UK TOTE GROUP said “We are delighted Wigan and Leigh Hospice were the winners of the Charity Fundraiser. They are a vital charity to community providing support and care at a time of need for many across the borough. We are very thankful we had the opportunity to sponsor this great part of the event and would also like to extend our thanks to guests for their generosity without them we would not have been able to raise this remarkable amount!”
