More than 60 sponsors, partners and supporters of Wigan Borough Business Awards (WBBA) 2026 came together this week for the annual Sponsors & Partners Networking Event, held at Feast at The Mills on The Heaton Group’s landmark Cotton Works development.
The event brought together organisations from across Wigan Borough to strengthen relationships, make new connections and celebrate the growing community behind one of the borough’s most prestigious business events.
The venue was particularly fitting, with Feast located at Cotton Works – the flagship regeneration development by event sponsors The Heaton Group and home to Headline Sponsor, Calisen.
Throughout the afternoon, guests heard from a number of WBBA sponsors, each sharing why they continue to support the awards and the importance of recognising the businesses, organisations and individuals making a positive impact across Wigan Borough.
The event reflected everything the Wigan Borough Business Awards stands for, bringing businesses together, creating opportunities, building lasting relationships and celebrating the strength of the local business community.
Now in its third year, Wigan Borough Business Awards has become one of the borough’s most respected business celebrations, made possible through the continued support of its sponsors, partners and ambassadors.
With judging now underway, anticipation is building for the awards evening on Saturday 26th September at The Brick Community Stadium. Having become one of the borough’s most prestigious business events, the awards are once again expected to be a sell-out, bringing together the very best of Wigan Borough for an evening dedicated to celebrating business success, making connections and recognising the people behind the businesses.
The WBBA founders, Sue France, Jackie Salt, Lisa McAllister and Jamie Grimshaw, thanked The Heaton Group for hosting the event and Calisen as Headline Sponsor for the second consecutive year, alongside every sponsor, partner and ambassador, for their continued commitment to supporting Wigan Borough Business Awards and the wider business community.
